Angorichina Station and the Flinders Ranges

From the Barossa we headed north to the outback of South Australia and to the Flinders Ranges -- specifically, to Di and Ian Fargher's Angorichina Station. Di and Ian (and their daughter Pru) are amazing hosts, and really made us feel a part of their lives for the few days we visited.

Angorichina has been in Ian's family for four generations. In addition to being a working sheep station, it also offers family accommodations and serves as a base of operations for four-wheel-drive tours in the Flinders. It's a modest drive away from the Prairie Hotel (owned by Ian's brother Ross and his wife Jane) at Parachilna, and very close to the old copper mining town of Blinman. Fossil fans will be interested to hear that it's near Ediacara (and that Ross has made some significant finds).
